Position Overview

The Site Construction Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing construction activities, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and safely.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years, or equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage construction workers and project tasks.
  • Coordinate and schedule project activities effectively.
  • Recruit, hire, and manage staffing requirements.
  • Provide training or arrange for necessary training sessions.
  • Utilize CADD and other software tools for project management.
  • Estimate project costs and required materials.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Make recommendations regarding personnel actions.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Order necessary materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Lead and instruct team members in their duties.
Experience Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
Support Initiatives
  • Assist newcomers and refugees with immediate settlement needs, including housing and transportation.
  • Facilitate recruitment of individuals displaced by conflicts or disasters.
  • Support foreign credential recognition for newcomers.
  • Provide mentorship and networking opportunities for youth.
