Job Title: Construction Project Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Manager to lead our team in the development of a large-scale battery factory in North America. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex construction projects, with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the entire construction process, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and implement construction strategies, work plans, and schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and project execution.
- Establish and maintain high Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project personnel and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Direct and manage all construction activities, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to existing operations.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse construction team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams, contractors, suppliers, government agencies, and community representatives, to ensure alignment and support for the project.
- Oversee budgeting, cost management, and resource allocation to ensure the project is completed within financial targets.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10+ years of demonstrated experience in a similar leadership role within the heavy industrial construction sector, with a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
- Degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (MBA an asset).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, lead, and manage a multi-disciplinary construction team.
- Excellent HSE management skills with a deep understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in construction scheduling, budgeting, and resource management, with a keen ability to manage costs and optimize resources.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience managing complex multi-stakeholder environments.
- Must be willing to travel and be on-site as project demands.
- Bilingual Communication: Fluent communication in French and English to effectively manage a diverse team and liaise with local and international stakeholders.
