Role Overview

As a pivotal figure within our organization, the Inventory Control Specialist plays a crucial role in upholding the Lids brand. This position is essential in fostering a passion for sports and fashion goods by addressing customer needs and ensuring that all store areas are actively engaged.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the store's hiring strategy, including recruitment planning and turnover management.
  • Assist in onboarding new team members to ensure a smooth acclimatization process.
  • Promote a fun and productive work environment, helping team members understand their contributions to the store's success.
  • Foster a respectful and inclusive team atmosphere by building supportive relationships and adhering to brand standards.
  • Manage employee records, including time-off requests and availability updates.
  • Lead ongoing training initiatives for team members, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles.
  • Drive team engagement through recognition and regular performance check-ins.
  • Implement sales strategies to meet key performance indicators and enhance customer service.
  • Address customer feedback and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with scheduling and payroll processes, aligning with company policies.
  • Maintain operational continuity during business disruptions.
  • Manage store technology and equipment, ensuring they are functional and up-to-date.
  • Oversee product strategy, including receiving, processing, and merchandising.
  • Ensure product integrity in accordance with vendor regulations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage transfers or returns as necessary.
  • Execute visual merchandising strategies to enhance product presentation.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong supervisory skills, the ability to deliver training effectively, and proficiency in relevant software programs. A willingness to travel for training and business meetings is also essential.
