Position Overview:
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Central Staffing Office and Float Pools. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be tasked with providing comprehensive administrative support to the Director of Central Support Services, particularly in relation to policy support and the management of policy databases. Key duties include:
  • Overseeing the maintenance of databases linked to the Patient Care Manual Committee and the Policy Management Committee.
  • Managing the workflow of these databases, necessitating a high level of decision-making and judgment.
  • Ensuring data integrity across various systems, including PYXIS, Utilization Management, Patient Transportation Database, and External Agency Billing/Purchased Salary databases.

Leadership and Training:
The incumbent will also provide guidance to a team of secretarial staff responsible for data entry and systems support. Responsibilities include:
  • Orienting and training secretaries on automated systems.
  • Developing insightful reports for senior and middle management.

Qualifications:
Candidates should possess a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, ideally in a senior capacity within a healthcare environment. Preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience in systems implementation, education, and troubleshooting.
  • Completion of a recognized certificate or diploma program in personal computer software or networking database management.
  • Typing proficiency of 50 wpm and familiarity with medical terminology.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access) is essential, along with the ability to establish and maintain spreadsheets and databases. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required.
