About the Role

We're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Assistant II to join our Dispatch Team at Intact Financial Corporation.

As a Claims Assistant II, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and front-line quality customer service in the settlement of insurance claims within the Ontario Appraisal Unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and send forms and correspondence to insurance clients, vendors, and legal representatives.
  • Manage the file storage and retrieval process for closed files.
  • Provide various administrative support, including photocopying, scanning, and data entry.
  • Process, coordinate, and distribute incoming email correspondence.
  • Process and coordinate appraisal request submissions.
  • Dispatch appraisal assignments to Intact Appraisal staff based on geographic locations and skill sets.
  • Aid as support to Field Appraisers.
  • Manage and generate reports.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of our appraisal processes.
  • Identify process improvements to management.
Requirements:
  • High School or College Diploma, including business/administration training or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience.
  • Ability to consistently perform at a superior level with respect to both accuracy and volume of work completed.
  • Effective communication skills with an emphasis on customer service.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in standard office applications and data entry.
  • No Canadian work experience required, but must be eligible to work in Canada.
