Empowering Excellence in Property Claims Management
At Intact Financial Corporation, we're seeking a seasoned Property Complex Claims Representative III to join our dynamic team. As a key player in our claims management process, you'll be responsible for negotiating and settling outstanding claims, managing complex files, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the company in claim negotiations and settlements, ensuring fair and timely resolutions.
- Manage moderate to complex first-party claims and litigated files, applying expertise to drive successful outcomes.
- Investigate, negotiate, and settle losses, leveraging analytical skills to determine liability and assess damages.
- Engage and manage internal and external counsel, consultants, adjusters, accountants, appraisers, and engineers to confirm coverage, determine liability, and assess damages.
- Lead analysis and assessment processes, including coverage levels, quantum, and liability assessments.
- Participate in loss management and expense reserve management.
- Assist with unit priorities and other duties assigned by the Unit Manager.
- Direct the activities of independent adjusters and experts, as needed.
Requirements:
- University degree or college diploma preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of property claims handling experience, with commercial claims experience preferred.
- Ongoing commitment to self-development and professional growth.
- Experience with lead and non-lead subscription property claims.
- Exceptional service skills, providing outstanding customer service to customers, brokers, and associates.
- Excellent file management capabilities, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate experts and demonstrate leadership.
