About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimating Specialist to join our team at Edge Group Ltd. as a Junior Estimator.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimating and Cost Management
    • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects.
    • Develop and maintain accurate cost models and forecasts.
  • Pre-qualification and Tendering
    • Prepare and submit pre-qualification submissions to clients.
    • Assist in the evaluation and analysis of tenders.
  • Project Coordination
    • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure accurate cost estimates.
    • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures to ensure project profitability.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Prepare and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms.
    • Develop and maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Other trades certificate or diploma.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in estimating and cost management.
  • Skills and Knowledge
    • Proficient in CADD and other computer software systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced construction environment.
    • Travel to project sites as required.
