Job Title: Shopfloor Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Shopfloor Quality Engineer to join our team at Volkswagen Group Canada Inc. in St. Thomas, ON.

Job Summary:

The Shopfloor Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the company's quality management system requirements are met, monitoring and achieving quality targets, and working with cross-functional teams to resolve internal and external quality problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with IATF, VDA, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Develop and implement process quality analyses and reporting.
  • Lead improvement of quality activities and processes.
  • Support risk assessment of nonconforming products and coordinate blocking and releasing actions.
  • Implement quality statistical process control (SPC) tools.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams for problem-solving.
  • Define and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Plan and monitor periodic inspections.
  • Support quality-relevant activities for operations.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in the automotive, battery, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Familiarity with IATF, VDA, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Working knowledge of problem-solving tools.
  • Certificate in internal auditing is preferred.
