Job Summary:

Volkswagen Group is seeking a skilled Shopfloor Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in St. Thomas, ON. As a key member of our quality management team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company quality management system requirements and meeting customer-specific and automotive quality standards demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with company quality management system requirements.
  • Meet customer-specific and automotive quality standards demands.
  • Report and publish quality metrics and targets to production unit stakeholders.
  • Conduct process quality analyses and reporting.
  • Drive quality activities enhancements by analyzing process quality data.
  • Support the assessment of nonconforming products and coordinate necessary actions.
  • Implement quality statistical process control (SPC) tools in the production unit.
  • Coordinate problem-solving with cross-functional teams for internal and external quality issues.
  • Define and implement corrective & preventive actions.
  • Organize quality workshops and monitor inspections.
  • Support quality-relevant activities in operations and in Gigafactories.
  • Prepare for audits and continuously improve quality activities.
  • Participate in PFMEA studies and support implementation of improvements.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering (preferred) or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive, battery (preferred), chemical, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and tools.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies.
  • Internal auditing certification is a plus.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
