Voyago is seeking a skilled Patient Transfer Attendant to join our team in Newmarket, ON.
Key Responsibilities- Transport patients safely and efficiently via stretcher/wheelchair to/from healthcare facilities, nursing homes, or private residences.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless patient transfers and maintain a safe working environment.
- Valid First Responder Certification, AEMCA, or Paramedic Diploma (Year 1 completion) or Firefighter with Emergency Medical Responder Certification.
- Valid CPR and First Aid (Level C) certification.
- Valid G-class driving license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 250+ lbs. using a stretcher or stair chair with a partner.
- Effective communication skills in both verbal and written English.
- Ability to obtain a clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector screening.
- Up-to-date immunization records, including MMR, DPT, Polio, Varicella, Hepatitis B, COVID-19 (2 doses), and TB Skin Test (Step 1) within the last 12 months.
- High School diploma or equivalent, or post-secondary diploma.
- Competitive hourly pay.
