Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at The Chopped Leaf. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of food service staff and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and productivity.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements to ensure efficient food preparation and minimize waste.
    • Prepare and manage budgets and cost estimates to ensure financial efficiency.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
  • Work Environment and Physical Capabilities
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform other physical tasks as required.

    • Exhibit a client-focused attitude and provide excellent customer service.
    • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.

    • Participate in mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
