Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Dental Technician to join our team. As a Registered Dental Technician, you will be responsible for designing and crafting dental devices, modifying existing devices, and performing administrative functions for the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Craft Dental Devices: Design and create dental devices, including full or partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, inlays, onlays, clasps, and bands.
  • Modify Dental Devices: Modify existing dental devices to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Prepare Plaster Models and Moulds: Prepare plaster models and moulds for dental device production.
  • Train Other Dental Technicians: Train and mentor other dental technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Perform Administrative Functions: Perform administrative tasks, such as managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining laboratory records.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
  • Experience: Experience in dental device design and production is an asset.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in plastering, packing, waxing-up, casting, polishing, and assembly.
  • Area of Specialization: Full dentures, partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, and chrome castings.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and with attention to detail.
