As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and crafting dental devices, modifying existing devices, and performing administrative functions for the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Design dental devices, including full or partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, inlays, onlays, clasps, and bands
- Modify dental devices, including full or partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, inlays, onlays, clasps, and bands
- Prepare plaster models and moulds
- Train other dental technicians
- Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory
- Mould wax over dentures set-up
- Finish metal framework of dentures
- Supervise students in training
- Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays
- Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures
- Polish and buff dentures
- Technical expertise in dental device design and production
- Experience in plastering, packing, waxing-up, casting, polishing, and assembly
- Area of specialization in full dentures, partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, and chrome castings
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and with attention to detail
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform hand-eye coordination tasks
