Job Title: Registered Nurse - Endoscopy/Brachytherapy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy/Brachytherapy team at BC Cancer. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide preoperative care to surgical patients, particularly those undergoing Endoscopy/Brachytherapy procedures.
  • Function as an endoscopy/PARR nurse for special procedures and post-operative recovery.
  • Identify patient needs and consult with members of other healthcare disciplines as necessary.
  • Communicate patient-related information to healthcare team members through documentation and reports.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  • Admit, transfer, or discharge patients according to Agency policies and Clinic/Nursing department directives.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
  • Current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Two (2) years of recent related clinical nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • PARR Certification course or Critical Care Certification or equivalent experience.
  • Current CPR (Level C) Certification.
