About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at GOLD STANDARD SIDING LTD. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the installation and maintenance of residential and commercial structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for projects
  • Design and implement layouts in accordance with building codes and regulations
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a seamless finish
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites to meet project deadlines
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members to ensure they meet the required standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any issues or defects
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
