Key Responsibilities- Estimation and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for various woodworking projects.
- Design and Layout: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and prepare layouts in accordance with building codes.
- Material Preparation: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Construction and Installation: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, erect walls and roof systems, fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
- Site Management: Schedule and coordinate work on sites, survey building locations, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory of materials and tools.
- Worksite Maintenance: Clean and maintain the work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, requiring attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to distinguish between colors.
- Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, with occasional lifting of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Reliability and Teamwork: Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, flexibility, and organizational skills.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Vici Manufacturing Inc. is committed to supporting newcomers and refugees, offering on-the-job training tailored to youth and developing relationships with indigenous communities.
