About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 2849788 Ontario Inc. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food is prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that staff are equipped to perform their duties effectively.

Inventory Management

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Quality Control

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Reporting and Administration

Prepare and submit reports on food service operations, and maintain accurate records of food service activities.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Mentorship and Support

Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees, and provide support and guidance to help them integrate into the team.

Youth and Indigenous Support

Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth and Indigenous workers, and provide support and guidance to help them achieve their career goals.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service supervisory role is required.

Language

Fluency in English is required.

Work Schedule

32 hours per week is the standard work schedule for this role.
