Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at 98 Street Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality food and service.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Develop and implement menus that showcase our store's commitment to quality and freshness.
- Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Order supplies and equipment to maintain inventory levels and ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked.
- Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment inventory.
- Clean and maintain kitchen and work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Equivalent experience in a related field.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Our kitchen is a fast-paced and dynamic environment where you will be working with a team of experienced chefs and kitchen staff. You will be required to work in a standing position for extended periods and be able to lift and move heavy objects.
