About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at BBA Consultants. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the design and development of wind turbine foundations and other renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in business development, focusing on wind projects and other renewable energy initiatives.
  • Contribute to the preparation of plans, design specifications, and reports for wind turbine foundation design and other related projects.
  • Design and develop wind turbine foundations, as well as support other renewable energy markets, including storage, solar, and substations.
  • Perform finite element modeling and other technical functions to support project delivery.
  • Assist with site inspections and surveys, and help plan, organize, and assess work.
  • Prepare estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, budgets, specifications, and reports for projects.
  • Participate in monitoring and commissioning engineering solutions, and ensure quality control of the work of engineers and drafters.
  • Assess client satisfaction and maintain close and harmonious relationships with clients and their representatives.
Requirements
  • Results-driven and motivated individual with a thirst to learn and excel.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team, while maintaining a fun and dynamic work environment.
  • Constantly seeking sustainable and agile solutions to complex challenges.
  • Rigorous and ethical approach to work, with a strong interest in solving complex problems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Design.
  • Five years of experience in wind turbine foundation design.
  • Proficient in project management and advanced knowledge in reading drawings.
  • Intermediate knowledge of quality system procedures and instructions.
  • Knowledge of one of the following software programs: Ansys, Ada, SAFI.
  • Asset: Bilingual (English and French).
