Our Claims Management Team is in search of a proactive individual with a comprehensive technical background. Leveraging previous experience along with established corporate philosophies, policies, and standards, the successful candidate will manage a varied portfolio of commercial liability and specialty lines claims, including professional liability. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities, along with the capacity to mentor and guide other claims personnel in their areas of expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiating and investigating claims as assigned within the designated authority, providing oversight and direction to adjusters, appraisers, and legal representatives to ensure that adjusting and litigation processes progress efficiently.
  • Analyzing and interpreting insurance policy language and loss data.
  • Maintaining an extensive understanding of insurance coverage, settlement techniques, procedural guidelines, investigative methodologies, and effective negotiation skills.
  • Reporting on reserve losses and expenses in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborating and maintaining strong relationships with the underwriting team, providing risk information as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of claims experience, particularly with complex multi-line claims.
  • Proven experience managing commercial property, liability, equipment breakdown, and professional liability claims is essential.
  • Familiarity with Guidewire in a paperless claims environment is advantageous.
  • CIP, FCIP, or progress towards designation is required.

  • This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a high level of mental focus for extended periods.
  • You will provide support to clients experiencing personal or financial losses, necessitating a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Attendance at mediations, settlement conferences, and court proceedings may be required.
