Position Overview: Senior Project Manager in Transportation Structural Engineering
As a vital contributor to Morrison Hershfield, now operating as Stantec, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional infrastructure solutions across Canada. In this role, you will oversee significant transportation structure initiatives while collaborating with diverse teams to promote economic advancement and community well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the project manager and structural authority for engineering tasks
- Facilitate coordination with clients and various engineering disciplines
- Assess and critique design alternatives for transportation structures
- Guide project team members and provide support to staff
- Engage in business development and prepare proposals
- Oversee and mentor junior staff
- Ensure adherence to project budgets and timelines
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering (B.ASc. or B.Eng.)
- Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.) with over 10 years of experience in bridge engineering
- Proficient in project management and capable of performing outdoor physical tasks
- Strong computer proficiency and exceptional communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and foster technical growth
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
