Job Summary:

The TEEMA Group is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Therapist Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our behavioral support team, you will provide specialized behavioral support and interventions for students with behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the root causes of behavioral issues.
  • Analyze assessment data to develop targeted behavior intervention plans (BIPs) that align with the student's individual needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized BIPs that incorporate evidence-based techniques to support positive behavior changes.
  • Monitor and adjust intervention plans based on student progress, ensuring that goals are met and exceeded.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate behavioral strategies into the classroom and ensure a cohesive support system.
  • Provide training and resources to teachers and parents to support students' behavioral needs, promoting a culture of understanding and support.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other team meetings to ensure that student needs are met and that interventions are aligned with IEP goals.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and student progress, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Prepare reports and documentation required for IEPs and other school records, ensuring that all necessary information is included.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding behavioral services, staying up-to-date on the latest best practices and guidelines.
  • Report to the building principal or special education coordinator, ensuring that all necessary information is communicated effectively.
  • Interact daily with students, school staff, and parents, building strong relationships and promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by the building principal or special education coordinator.

Required Qualifications:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and/or State Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) license.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop effective intervention plans.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, parents, and school staff.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, with the ability to ensure compliance and stay up-to-date on the latest best practices.
