About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Home Renovation Project Manager to join our team at 88 Homes Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the renovation and construction of new residential homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Management
    • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget completion of projects.
    • Coordinate and manage the activities of trade subcontractors and suppliers to ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is being carried out in accordance with plans and specifications.
    • Identify and address any quality control issues promptly to prevent delays and rework.
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and preferences, and ensure that their expectations are met.
    • Communicate effectively with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that plans and specifications are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Financial Management
    • Prepare and manage project budgets, including estimating and bidding for new projects.
    • Monitor and control project expenses to ensure that they are within budget.
  • Supervision and Team Management
    • Supervise and manage a team of construction staff, including trade subcontractors and suppliers.
    • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in residential construction or renovation.
  • Work Environment
    • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
    • Work in a dusty environment.
    • Be exposed to odours.
  • Work Setting
    • Work in new residential home building and residential renovation projects.
  • Tasks
    • Plan and prepare work schedules.
    • Select and employ trade subcontractors and coordinate their activities.
    • Inspect subcontractors' work to ensure quality and conformity with plans and specifications.
    • Plan and manage budgets.
    • Perform various trade work during home construction or renovation activities.
    • Develop and implement financial and operating plans.
    • Prepare estimates and bids for home construction, renovation, and restoration projects.
    • Work with customers, architects, and engineers regarding plans and specifications.
    • Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.
    • Ensure that construction permits are obtained.
    • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations.
  • Supervision
    • Supervise 1 to 2 people.
    • Work Term: Permanent.
    • Work Language: English.
    • Hours: 35 hours per week.
