Job Title: Skilled Construction Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced construction professional to join our team at JCC Construction. As a skilled construction worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Execution: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Quality Control: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Health and Safety: Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, while adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the construction industry or equivalent experience.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, tight deadlines, attention to detail, sound discrimination, and standing for extended periods.
Work Environment:
  • Work Setting: Construction, various locations, relocation costs not covered by employer, commercial, and residential.
  • Transportation: Own transportation.
