We are seeking a skilled Residential Construction Painter to join our team at Proper Care Services Inc. As a Residential Construction Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and painting surfaces to ensure a high-quality finish.
Key Responsibilities:- Surface Preparation: Clean and sand surfaces to be painted, repair cracks and holes, and mix paint to the desired color and texture.
- Painting: Apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces, including erecting scaffolding and swing stages as needed.
- Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for each project, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
- Equipment and Machinery Experience: Operate various painting equipment, including brush painting, conventional spray painting, and roller painting.
- Surface Preparation Experience: Utilize drywall taping/patching, water/hydroblasting, steam cleaning, flame cleaning, and sandblasting techniques as required.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to distinguish between colors. Physically demanding, with lifting up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and 13.5 kg (30 lbs) as needed.
- Personal Suitability: Demonstrate client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, initiative, reliability, and teamwork.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, with a permanent position and 35 hours of work per week.
