About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our R&D team, you will be responsible for developing new products and renovating existing ones. Your expertise will be crucial in leading and managing strategic projects, focusing on the creation and introduction of innovative product lines.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new products and renovate existing ones, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and nutritional value.
- Lead and manage strategic projects, including recipe development, formula creation, and equipment processing.
- Manage all facets of bringing a product to market, including costing, nutritional claims, and supply chain management.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows for new product development, enhancing team productivity and fostering a culture of innovation.
- Oversee ingredient substitution, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining business continuity during supply chain disruptions.
- Provide expert technical guidance on equipment capabilities and essential processing parameters to achieve optimal product quality.
- Oversee budgeting for plant trials and initial production runs, ensuring financial efficiency and resource allocation.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, aiming to optimize processes, minimize waste, and boost overall performance.
- Bakery knowledge and 2+ years of experience required, with a strong understanding of the baking process and ingredient functions.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science or a related discipline.
- Up-to-date knowledge of trends in nutrition and health.
- Strong understanding of young families' tastes and needs.
- Able to work in both a hands-on and direct capacity to bring ideas and concepts to product reality.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong proven ability to develop critical paths in R&D to bring products to market.
- Experience with the Genesis program.
