Position Overview:

The ideal candidate for the Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) role will cultivate positive relationships with clients through genuine care and compassion for both clients and their pets. Respectful interactions and exceptional customer service are key components of this role. The RVT will assist Veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures, utilizing various diagnostic tools, preparing patients and instruments for surgery, and administering and monitoring medications under the Veterinarian's guidance. Previous RVT experience is advantageous.

  • Some experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician

  • Proficient skills in treatment room procedures
  • Exceptional customer service that fosters loyalty and trust with clients
  • Strong organizational capabilities that enable focus, independence, and effectiveness under pressure

Required Credentials:

  • Registered Veterinary Technician or Technologist
  • Completion of a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program
  • Successful completion of the VTNE or eligibility to take the VTNE
  • Good standing with the Provincial Regulatory Association
