Job Summary
VCA Canada is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team on a part-time basis, providing weekend coverage at our Ottawa Veterinary Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, patient care, and laboratory tests.
- Conduct physical examinations, take patient histories, and perform diagnostic tests.
- Prepare and maintain medical records, including patient charts and laboratory results.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with veterinarians.
- Provide exceptional patient care and customer service to pet owners.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and techniques through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
- Graduate of a veterinary technician program or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
