About the Role

The Director, Financial Planning and Analysis will play a key role in driving the success of Tangerine Bank's Canadian Banking Finance division. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the execution of specific goals, plans, and initiatives in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a small, high-impact team and report to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Tangerine Bank.
  • Develop and implement business line-focused approaches to support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team within Tangerine Bank.
  • Own all matters related to treasury, including the distribution of product funds transfer pricing (FTP) rates from treasury to the business lines.
  • Support deep dives or additional requests into treasury-related items and act as an advocate for Tangerine Bank to ensure accurate value is being ascribed to all assets & deposits.
  • Provide relevant financial updates to both Tangerine Bank and Scotiabank senior executives and the Tangerine Bank Board of Directors as required.
  • Assist in developing front-end data visualization tools and dashboards to support the Tangerine Executive Leadership Team's ability to understand financial results and make critical business decisions.
  • Work closely with Scotiabank finance teams supporting Tangerine Bank to better understand and solve technology roadblocks.
  • Support Tangerine's finance technology roadmap to directly support rapid growth in Tangerine Bank.
  • Provide support for finance risk and operations work, projects, regulatory initiatives, and all internal & external audit activities as required.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience at a financial institution in Treasury, Product, Economics, or Finance roles.
  • Relevant experience at a financial institution, leading complex, multi-facet projects, process improvement initiatives, and/or technology roadmaps.
  • Experience interacting with senior executives on a regular basis.
  • Domestic-focused work (Canadian Banking segment).
  • Direct support to Tangerine Executive Leadership Team, key stakeholders across business lines, and Canadian Banking Finance.
