Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Title Officer to join our team. As a Title Officer, you will be responsible for providing superior customer service to our clients, developing internal and external partnerships, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of title searches and insurance commitments.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to clients via portal, email, and phone, responding to inquiries within specified timeframes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Conduct thorough title searches and make necessary amendments to internal records, applying underwriting guidelines as applicable.
- Manage title discrepancies and issues with lender representatives, ensuring timely resolution.
- Issue Commitment to Insure (CTI) documents within corporate policies and guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date on corporate and lender policies and procedures, applying them as applicable.
- Prepare and review mortgage document packages, title change documents, and other relevant documents.
- Request and review payout statements from financial institutions, calculating penalties and payout amounts due.
- Action lender reports as required.
- Graduate of a law clerk/legal admin program or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 6 months experience with the end-to-end real estate transaction cycle.
- Exceptional phone manner, strong communications and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to problem-solve and prioritize issues, with strong attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of basic mathematical principles.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in protecting confidential information.
- Intermediate computer skills in MS Office and Outlook.
