Job Title: Senior Executive - Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre

As a senior executive at the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre (FINTRAC), you will play a critical role in shaping the direction and success of the organization. This requires a combination of strategic vision, leadership skills, and operational expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic direction in alignment with the organization's overall mandate and goals.
  • Ensure the development of strategies, priorities, and plans to enhance FINTRAC's capacity to combat money laundering, terrorist activity financing, and other activities posing a threat to Canada's security.
  • Implement a risk-based approach to tailor strategy and tactical responses to fit assessed risks.
  • Provide executive leadership in establishing positive and collaborative relationships with various partners, stakeholders, and reporting entities.
  • Drive innovation and growth, identifying new opportunities for expansion and modernization, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and creative thinking.
Requirements:
  • Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Significant experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior officials on sensitive and complex policy and program issues.
  • Significant experience in setting strategic direction and providing leadership in operational service delivery or development of policies and programs with an organization-wide impact.
  • Significant experience in building and managing partnerships, and consulting and negotiating with other levels of government, industry, and national or international organizations.
  • Significant experience at the executive level in the management of human and financial resources.
Asset Requirements:
  • Significant senior-level experience in the banking industry.
  • Significant experience at a senior level in risk management, finance, or in a regulatory environment.
  • Significant experience in working and liaising with various internal and external stakeholders, including security and intelligence agencies.
  • Significant experience in leading the development and analysis of complex cross-cutting social, economic, or security policies and programs.
  • Significant experience as an executive providing leadership and executive oversight for large-scale business transformation or change management initiatives.
  • Significant experience in leading analysis and developing responses to complex policy or risk issues related to a regulated sector.
Language Requirements:

Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)

Willingness and ability to work overtime on weekends and evenings occasionally, sometimes with short notice.
