We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Amrit Pal Singh Bains. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds, and change sheets.
- Housekeeping Duties: Stock linen closets, clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, disinfect operating rooms and other areas, handle and report lost and found items, pick up debris, and empty trash containers.
- Laundry and Linens: Launder clothing and household linens.
- General Maintenance: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: Experience is an asset.
- Language: English.
- Work Environment: Non-smoking environment.
- Work Setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Repetitive Tasks: Repetitive tasks are involved in this role.
- Combination of Sitting, Standing, Walking: A combination of sitting, standing, and walking is required.

- Support for Foreign Credential Recognition: Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
- Mentorship Programs: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
- Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- No Canadian Work Experience Required: Does not require Canadian work experience.
