Position Overview: Q-Block Computing is on the lookout for a dedicated Quantum Scientist to enhance our pioneering efforts in the realm of quantum technologies. This position provides a remarkable chance to engage in the advancement of innovative solutions in quantum sensing, communication, and computation.

Role Summary: As a Quantum Scientist, you will work closely with a diverse team to meet laboratory objectives while receiving mentorship from experienced leaders. Your responsibilities will encompass preparing research progress documentation, designing and implementing laboratory setups, and expanding your expertise in experimental atomic molecular optical (AMO) physics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and conduct intricate AMO physics experiments.
  • Foster a culture of ongoing learning and knowledge exchange within the team.
  • Evaluate data and derive insights to guide engineering choices and improve laboratory functions.
  • Remain informed about the latest advancements in quantum science and technology.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports and adhere to best practices in research data management.

Qualifications:

  • Masters or PhD in Physics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in experimental quantum information science or related fields, with a focus on atomic molecular optical physics preferred.
