Job Title: Academic Operations Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Academic Operations Officer to join our team at George Brown College. As a key member of the School of Social and Community Services and School of Deaf and Deafblind Studies team, you will provide academic and operational support to the Manager, Academic Operations (MAO) to ensure the smooth operation of academic programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate database and scheduling processes to ensure accurate and timely program information.
  • Assist in the completion of faculty assignments and human resource processes to support academic program needs.
  • Compile financial documentation and gather information to prepare budget and financial operation plans.
  • Develop and maintain tools and reports to analyze faculty assignments and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support special projects and events, including process improvement and implementation of college systems.

Requirements:

  • Three-year diploma or degree in Business Administration or related field with emphasis on communication and project coordination skills.
  • Minimum three years' senior administrative experience in a post-secondary education institution.
  • Excellent understanding and experience regarding academic functions, student systems, college policies and procedures, and sound financial administrative experience.
  • Experience facilitating conflict resolution and excellent customer service skills.
