Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Optical Specialist to join our team at Tri Vision Optical. As an Optical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of quality in our eyewear products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze Client Needs

Measure and analyze client eye curvature, pupillary distance, and bridge width using optical measuring devices to determine the best eyewear solution.

  • Prepare Eyewear Specifications

Obtain specifications for eyeglasses and contact lenses from prescriptions prepared by ophthalmologists or optometrists.

  • Supervise and Manage

Supervise or manage activities of other opticians or student opticians to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results.

  • Provide Customer Support

Advise clients on the use and care of contact lenses and ensure they are satisfied with their eyewear products.

  • Grind and Polish Lenses

Arrange for grinding or polishing of lenses or grind and polish lenses to meet client specifications.

  • Adjust Eyewear

Adjust finished eyeglasses to fit clients perfectly.

Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and specifications.

Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality results.

Requirements
  • Education

College or CEGEP diploma in optics or a related field.

  • Experience

1-2 years of experience in the optical industry.

  • Certifications

Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.

Working Conditions
  • Work Hours

42 hours per week.

English.
