About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Hardy Terrace Long-Term Care Home. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as providing support with mobility and transfers.
  • Provide personal care including toileting, feeding, and administering medications as required.
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving to ensure our residents receive nutritious and enjoyable meals.
  • Engage in activities and social interactions to promote mental and emotional well-being, such as reading, playing games, or simply spending time with residents.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control protocols and reporting any concerns or incidents to management.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a long-term care setting.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and Health Care Aide Certificate.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
