As a Maintenance and Engineering Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our operations in Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Promote excellence in quality, cost efficiency, service delivery, and safety across the Western Canada Supply Chain.
  2. Lead the Maintenance and Engineering division, focusing on team development, workforce planning, and performance evaluation.
  3. Mentor and guide Managers, Supply Chain Leaders, and Team Members in addressing operational challenges and reaching performance goals.
  4. Foster a healthy organizational culture within the Maintenance & Engineering division through effective employee relations in collaboration with Human Resources.
  5. Ensure adherence to continuous improvement methodologies and advocate for change across various teams.
  6. Implement effective change management strategies to enhance business performance while minimizing impacts on personnel.
  7. Engage in effective communication with cross-functional leaders to facilitate strategic planning, problem resolution, and performance enhancement.
  8. Assume full accountability for the maintenance and optimization of all facility equipment, auxiliary systems, infrastructure, grounds, and utilities.
  9. Provide expert technical guidance in capital planning and project engineering initiatives.
  10. Oversee financial responsibility for maintenance cost centers, including repair and maintenance, labor, utilities, and capital improvement projects.
  11. Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and legal standards pertaining to maintenance and utilities.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  2. Technical and leadership experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  3. Proven experience in leading large, complex teams, demonstrating leadership through influence, collaboration, and a coaching approach.
  4. Strong dedication to achieving outstanding business results.
  5. Project management expertise, including business development, compensation strategies, continuous improvement decision-making, employee benefits, and leadership skills.
  6. Ability to navigate complex, unstructured environments and make swift decisions based on changing variables.
  7. Excellent communication skills in all formats to support cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and mentorship.
