About the Role

PepsiCo Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance and Engineering Director to lead our Western Canada Supply Chain team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving performance in operational reliability and associated KPIs, providing technical expertise and guidance to our sites, and supporting engineering projects across Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion Quality, Cost, Service, and Safety Performance: Develop and implement strategies to achieve exceptional business results, ensuring quality, cost, service, and safety performance are consistently met.
  • Lead the Maintenance and Engineering Department: Foster a culture of excellence, supporting employee and team development, people planning, and performance management.
  • Develop and Coach Leaders and Team Members: Provide guidance and coaching to Managers, Supply Chain Leaders, and Team Members to solve operational issues and achieve performance outcomes.
  • Drive Organizational Health: Collaborate with Human Resources to promote strong employee relations and drive organizational health within the Maintenance & Engineering department.
  • Execute Effective Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies to drive business performance while minimizing people impacts.
  • Communicate Effectively: Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to achieve strategic planning, problem-solving, and performance achievement.
  • Maintain Facility Equipment and Infrastructure: Hold ultimate responsibility for the maintenance and optimization of all facility equipment, auxiliary function equipment, building infrastructure, grounds, and utilities.
  • Provide Technical Knowledge: Develop and implement capital planning and project engineering initiatives to drive business performance.
  • Maintain P&L Responsibility: Oversee maintenance cost centers, including repair and maintenance, maintenance labor, utilities, and capital improvement plans.
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Ensure regulatory, environmental, and legal compliance related to Maintenance and utilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or Similar: A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Technical and Leadership Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of experience leading in a manufacturing environment.
  • Unwavering Commitment to Performance: A proven track record of achieving exceptional business results.
  • Project Management Skills: Experience in business development, compensation, continuous improvement decision-making, employee benefits, group leadership, and interpersonal skill leadership.
  • Ability to Work in a Complex Environment: Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, unstructured environment, making quick decisions based on dynamic variables.
