As a NSWOC Nurse, you will provide specialized care to patients in the clinic and community, utilizing your knowledge of assessment, prevention, and interventions regarding wound infections and ostomy care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide wound and ostomy consultation to patients in the clinic and community
- Care for patients with consuming wounds, ostomies, and continence issues
- Perform lower leg assessments, including ABPIs, and provide edema management
- Monitor criteria for adjunctive therapy for complex or recalcitrant wounds
- Support patient safety by practicing according to policy and standards
- Registered Nurse (RN) diploma
- Current College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) registration in good standing
- Graduate of Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence Canada (NSWOCC, formerly CAET), CNA exam may be pending
- Several years of escalating experience managing wounds and ostomies
- Strong desire and commitment to making a difference in the lives of our patients
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and vehicle
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- CPR Certification
- Current immunization record, including 2-step TB test
