ROLE OVERVIEW

Mammoet is in search of a skilled and motivated professional to become a vital part of our Human Resources division. This position will focus on facilitating daily operations concerning employee and labor relations throughout the organization, while also offering support in various Human Resources functions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Core Duties (including but not limited to)

  1. Assist in maintaining organizational adherence to relevant laws and regulations (Employment Standards, Human Rights, Privacy, Occupational Health & Safety)
  2. Work collaboratively with union representatives to resolve workplace challenges, fostering positive relationships, engaging in collective bargaining, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
  3. Effectively oversee the allocation of union employees, ensuring optimal workforce distribution and compliance with contractual obligations and site requirements
  4. Consult with worksite teams on various issues, research potential solutions, liaise with involved parties, prepare recommendations, and draft necessary correspondence
  5. Support the creation, implementation, and upkeep of Human Resource/Corporate programs, initiatives, and training sessions
  6. Assist in the execution of the annual employee evaluation process
  7. Guide managers and staff in understanding and utilizing Human Resource tools to enhance organizational performance through improved employee engagement and managerial effectiveness while ensuring legal compliance
  8. Support HR administrative tasks, including maintaining job descriptions, managing SAP positions, processing documentation, and data entry related to Mammoet's programs and processes
  9. Participate in investigations as required, ensuring proper documentation, reporting, and follow-up on outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  1. Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience; pursuing relevant certification is preferred

Experience

  1. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist
  2. Experience in a unionized setting is essential
  3. Background in the Construction/Transportation sector is advantageous
  4. Familiarity with HRIS systems
  5. Proficient in various software applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook 365, and Excel
