Le Taj Farms is seeking a dedicated Livestock Operations Associate to contribute to our goat and sheep farming activities. This role involves a variety of responsibilities that ensure the health and productivity of our livestock.
Key Responsibilities- Animal Management: Develop and guide the behavior of farm animals, ensuring their well-being.
- Health Monitoring: Diagnose livestock health issues and maintain performance records.
- Feeding and Care: Formulate feeding programs, perform livestock feeding, and track feed inventory.
- Maintenance Tasks: Clear fields of debris, disinfect barns, and perform general farm duties.
- Shearing and Milking: Shear sheep and milk goats as part of daily operations.
This position is based in a rural setting with staff accommodation provided. The work is physically demanding and requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, crouching, and walking.
Qualifications- Education: No formal degree required.
- Experience: Previous experience is beneficial, but training will be provided.
The ideal candidate will be organized and a team player, capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.
