Position Overview

As a Healthcare Support Worker at Prokare Support Services Inc, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to patients. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the comfort and well-being of those in your care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support meal service by delivering trays and aiding patients during meals.
  • Manage patient mobility by lifting, turning, and positioning them as needed.
  • Facilitate communication between departments by delivering messages and specimens.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by making beds and organizing patient rooms.
  • Oversee exercise routines to promote physical health.
  • Administer specific medical procedures such as suppositories and enemas.
  • Keep track of medical supplies and ensure adequate inventory.
  • Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers as required.
  • Respond promptly to patient call signals to address their needs.
  • Prepare patients for surgical procedures by ensuring cleanliness and readiness of operative areas.
Qualifications

Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

Experience: A minimum of 7 months experience in a similar role is preferred.

Work Conditions
