Key Responsibilities- Serve as a professional role model and mentor, showcasing clinical expertise and a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
- Assess and determine optimal staffing levels to ensure effective patient care and meet organizational metrics.
- Provide clinical leadership by ensuring that patient care adheres to established nursing standards and organizational policies.
- Conduct supervisory visits to nursing staff, offering constructive feedback, coaching, and mentorship.
- Participate in the recruitment and orientation process for new nursing staff.
- Oversee performance management processes for nursing personnel, including evaluations and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Conduct case reviews to ensure appropriate care frequency and nursing capacity.
- Engage collaboratively with patients and the nursing team to build trust and identify healthcare needs, strengths, and goals.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario, with a degree preferred.
- Possession of a valid G driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- A minimum of three years of progressive experience in a Nursing Supervisor or Manager role, ideally within a community healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of community nursing principles and patient service delivery.
- Current CPR certification.
