We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide expert clinical leadership and consultation to staff, students, and patients in medical, surgical, or specialized clinic areas.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical expertise and consultation to staff, students, and patients in designated clinical areas.
- Role model direct care skills to staff and students, and evaluate the delivery of nursing care and nursing education.
- Develop and implement evidence-informed clinical decision support tools and policies.
- Collaborate with the inter-professional team to develop and support individualized care plans.
- Provide education and training to staff and students on clinical skills and best practices.
- Participate in quality improvement and risk management activities.
- Assist in the review and development of clinical policies and procedures.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Three years of recent related clinical experience in the designated clinical specialty area, including one year of education and/or leadership experience.
- Completion of post-graduate coursework and/or certification applicable to the designated clinical area.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
- Clinical proficiency/expertise in the designated clinical nursing area.
- Ability to role model direct care skills, coach, mentor, and teach nursing skills.
- Ability to apply educational theories and evidence to teaching practices.
- Ability to identify learning needs of individual or groups of staff.
- Ability to foster effective teaching and learning relationships.
