About the Role
As a Health Care Aide (HCA) at Shepherd's Care Foundation, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to our residents. You will work as part of a dedicated team to ensure that each resident receives the highest quality of support and assistance.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist residents with their daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, personal hygiene, meal service, and mobility/transfer.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the care team to ensure seamless and coordinated resident care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident care activities and observations.
About You
You are a compassionate and caring individual with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of seniors. You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and you are able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Registration with the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory is required.
- Completion of Bridging Modules, if applicable.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
