Job Title: Landscaping Foreman/Woman

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Foreman/Woman to join our team at Clintar Landscape Management. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and construction of our clients' outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, Supervise and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance professionals and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to ensure the health and appearance of our clients' landscapes.
  • Organize and Direct Construction Projects: Oversee the construction of decks, decorative walls, and other outdoor features, ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately record and maintain all work-related data, including staff hours, materials used, and project progress.
  • Read Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret and implement design plans for outdoor construction projects.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Requisition or Order Materials and Supplies: Procure all necessary materials and supplies for projects and maintenance tasks.
  • Resolve Work Problems and Provide Technical Advice: Troubleshoot issues and provide guidance to staff on best practices and procedures.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure maximum productivity.
Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5 years or more in a related field.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Chain saw, pick-up truck, small engine equipment, tractor mower.
  • Area of Work Experience: Snow removal.
  • Area of Specialization: Lawn care, tree service, grounds maintenance.
  • Security and Safety: Valid driver's license, own transportation.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral communication, initiative, judgement, team player, flexibility.
