Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, Supervise and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of grounds maintenance professionals, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans for our clients' properties, including lawn care, tree service, and snow removal.
  • Organize and Direct Construction Projects: Oversee the construction of decks, decorative walls, and other outdoor features, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Accurately record and track work hours, materials, and equipment usage, providing valuable insights for future projects.
  • Read Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret and implement design plans for outdoor construction projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Troubleshoot and repair equipment, ensuring our team has the necessary tools to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment and Supplies: Source and procure materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Analyze and resolve work-related issues, providing expert advice and recommendations to improve team performance and product quality.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures, ensuring our team is productive and effective.
Requirements:
  • 5+ Years of Experience: Proven experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or a related field, with a strong track record of leadership and team management.
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Proficiency in operating chain saws, pick-up trucks, small engine equipment, and tractor mowers.
  • Area of Work Experience: Snow removal, lawn care, tree service, and grounds maintenance.
  • Area of Specialization: Lawn care, tree service, and grounds maintenance.
  • Security and Safety: Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license, with a reliable vehicle.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines, and handle heavy loads.
