About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Facility Support Attendant at the City of St. Catharines. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our patrons at various arena and pool locations throughout the City.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, assisting patrons on and off the ice, and answering inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe facility for all visitors, ensuring adherence to program rules and regulations.
  • Perform on-ice Skate Patrol and maintenance tasks such as assisting with floods and clearing snow.
  • Undertake general maintenance duties including custodial tasks, equipment setup, and minor repairs.
  • Operate equipment such as floor scrubbers and power washers.
  • Report any issues to supervisors promptly to maintain a healthy facility.

Requirements:

  • Availability to work up to 24 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong skating abilities and knowledge of on-ice safety practices.
  • Ability to work well with the public and as part of a team.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks and lifting weights up to thirty pounds.
  • Certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Health and Safety Awareness.
  • Dedication to promoting a culture of safety and well-being.

Compensation:

Hourly Wage: $18.25
