Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Human Resources Associate to join our team at North Island College. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and executing all transactional employment changes within the Human Resources Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage HR Service Desk tickets and respond to complex situations within specified timeframes.
  • Ensure accurate HR full cycle employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including employee appointments, contractual changes, leave management, professional development, and recruitment.
  • Provide guidance to Payroll Benefits Associates and responsible for assigned technical projects.
  • Develop employment appointments from Employment Appointment Requisitions and analyze reports for Committee and divisional requirements.
  • Administer leaves, contract amendments, and corrections, ensuring adherence to collective agreements, policies, and procedures.
  • Support the recruitment process by responding to external enquiries and providing accurate information to supervisors and candidates.
Requirements
  • Human Resource Management Diploma or Business Administration Diploma including courses in Human Resource Management.
  • Minimum three to five years current related experience in Human Resources within a complex multi-union environment.
  • Advanced level of proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Access.
