About the Role

The Steward is a key member of our Legends Hospitality team, responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in our kitchen and related areas. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of utensils and equipment for all outlets throughout the facility.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and related areas, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning of equipment and surfaces.
  • Report any broken equipment or maintenance issues to the Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef.
  • Support catering meetings and events through equipment setup and takedown.
  • Comply with all Legends Hospitality health and safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a similar setting or operation is an asset.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to push, pull, and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a non-toxic chemical environment.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment, dishwasher machine, pot washer machine, power washer, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to stand, walk, and stoop for extended periods. The employee is also required to use hands to finger, handle controls, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
